Done For Constituents
The most powerful campaign promise isn't a slogan — it's a specific, tangible action Aaron commits to taking on behalf of District 4 residents. Every policy position answers: "What will I actually do for you, how much, and when?" The closer to a direct outcome in a real person's life, the more irresistible the vote.
A
Action Committed
How much will Aaron actually do?
Not 'I support better schools' but 'I will secure funding for 3 new recreation centers in District 4 in Year 1.' Aaron starts with every action the district needs — then commits to the one that matters most to the most people.
💡 List every action District 4 needs. Commit to all, some, or at minimum one critical step — prioritizing the action residents fear will never happen.
I
Impact on Daily Life
How close to their actual life?
Policy is the feature. The benefit is what changes. 'I'll fix the roads' is a feature. 'You'll save $400/year in car repairs' is an outcome. Aaron works backwards from real daily life in Woodlawn, Lochearn, and Randallstown.
💡 Can Aaron deliver the outcome directly? If not, can he remove the biggest barrier to it? Work backwards from the lived experience of District 4 families.
D
Demonstrated Value
Do voters believe it's worth their vote?
Link every commitment to a real cost residents already know: 'Gang violence costs our community in fear and lost opportunity. R-BLOCK has already removed those barriers for 500+ youth — now I'll bring that model to county policy.'
💡 What does the problem currently cost District 4 residents in money, time, or safety? Name that cost — then show how Aaron's commitment erases it.
M
Mandate to Execute
Can Aaron realistically deliver in office?
Bold promises that can't be kept destroy trust permanently. Aaron's 30 years of community leadership, union negotiation, and nonprofit management give him the coalition-building skills to execute — not just promise.
💡 Know the specific powers of the County Council District 4 seat. Commit only to what that office can influence — then show exactly how those powers will be used.
E
Ease to Communicate
Can a voter explain it to their neighbor?
Complex policy = lost voters. If a constituent can't explain Aaron's plan at a dinner table, it won't spread. 'Aaron built R-BLOCK from scratch and kept 500 kids off the streets — now he'll do that for all of District 4.'
💡 What is the single most visual, shareable proof of Aaron's commitment working? Lead with R-BLOCK's track record. Everything else is backup.
